The Fulda Area Lakes Trails Group has a vision and a mission.

From walking with friends on a sidewalk free of impediments to a family enjoying a biking outing, the Group’s objective is to have hard-surfaced paths for walking, running and biking along U.S. 59 and in other areas in and around Fulda.
In 2021, a committee was formed by the Fulda EDA to review the idea and establish a team to work on the project. Countless hours of research, as well as meetings with other towns that have achieved success with trails, have been taken on by Group members. They have connected with other entities and gained letters of support from school, city, township, county and state officials. Favorable opinions have been expressed by property owners, community residents and various agencies.
Options are being explored as to routes, funding, and development phases.
The Fulda Area Lakes Trails Group believes that the hard-surfaced paths will improve the safety of school routes for students walking and biking, and that of citizens who want to take a leisurely walk around the lake or to various places in our community. The paths would promote Fulda and its attributes, while increasing health and safety within the community.
To achieve success, the Group knows support from area residents is vital. They are asking for participation in a simple survey to gather community responses. The survey can be found on the City of Fulda website at www.fuldamn.com. Printed copies are also available at Fulda City Hall, Fulda Pool, Fulda Public Library and Mane Attraction. Filled out surveys can be dropped off at Fulda City Hall.
Posters with a QR code leading directly to the online survey are available throughout the community.
