Building Permits

Building Permits are required for many projects - such as: building/moving in a storage shed; building/replacing a deck; putting up a fence, etc.  Permits are not required for shingling a roof, siding, replacing a window etc. if the work does not change the housing structure.

Building Permits are reviewed/approved at City Council Meetings.  A permit needs to be turned in at least a week prior to the City Council meeting to allow enough time for a council member to review the application.

If a permit is approved, it is valid for one (1) year.
